Working in partnership with The Royal Engineers Vocational Education and Training Trust and the Royal School of Military Engineering, LearnInvicta has developed and successfully delivered health and Safety “D” units to Assessors working for the Royal Engineers

We are proud to announce that the candidates from the pilot course in February have received their certificates from the Commander of 1 RSME, Col G Wilmhurst-Smith.  

We will now be offering this stand alone unit from the Health and Safety for People at Work National Standards on a regular basis. This unit has been specifically designed for individuals required to review health and safety conditions in a learning environment. It encompasses two elements: the first is preparing to undertake a review of health and safety in a workplace and the second is carrying out a review of workplace health and safety implementation. LearnInvicta has moved into new offices in the Medway Innovation Centre. The Medway Innovation Centre is an incubator for hi-tech and service business start-ups supported by BAE Systems as part of its innovation strategy. The facility is based within BAE Systems at Rochester, Kent.

The MIC provides services to a broad range of technology businesses and offers additional mentoring and business support to businesses operating in the 'Homeland Security' and 'Mission Critical Systems' market place. Business support and mentoring is provided by the MD and an advisory board drawn from key Universities and BAE Systems.

 

The move was seen as essential to continue LearnInvicta’s work in support of the uniform services and development of a new range of NVQs for the explosives and Munitions industry
